Children will engage in fun activities such as cooking creations, crafting souvenirs, performing Broadway reviews and comedy shows, and playing on-deck games like shuffleboard and pickle ball. At the end of Week 1, children will introduce their new business ventures by hosting a Launch Party , and to culminate Week 2, the children will showcase their businesses through a Merchant Expo! Lunch Your child will need a packed lunch and beverage each day.

The purpose of the standards is to reduce risks in center environments and protect children by ensuring the activities, services and facilities of centers are conducive to children's well-being. Compliance with licensing standards is monitored by announced and unannounced center visits and inspections by licensing staff. In order to best ensure children's health and safety, accurate and up-to-date emergency information for all children enrolled in the SACC program must be on file.

The Licensing Information for SACC Center Records form must be fully completed, signed and reviewed with center staff a minimum of one day before your child's start date. A separate form is required for each child. At the beginning of each school year, families must review the form on file for each child and update any information as needed. A signature will be required to verify the accuracy of the information on file.

If a form is not already on file, you will need to submit a new form a minimum of one day before your child's start date. Families also need to provide a copy of the Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health form and Immunization Record for each child enrolled. SACC offers four programs: school year, winter, spring and summer camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The SACC program is designed to serve children who need care five days a week.

SACC enrollment and fees are not able to accommodate drop-in or short term service. SACC's policy in the event of emergency school closings, delayed openings, and early closings is as follows:. Full Day Closings - SACC will be closed whenever schools are closed for the full day due to weather conditions, energy problems, or other emergencies.

Please note : Due to the possibility of hazardous road conditions; in the interest of safety of the children, families and SACC teachers, SACC administration requests parents make every effort to pick up children as soon as possible. Note: SACC centers and administration are open until all children have been picked up.

Additionally, the Parent Advisory Council advocates for high-quality, affordable, accessible school age child care services throughout the county. Several children made their own outfits including hats, scarfs, skirts and ponchos for a center festival while other children used their talents to build and decorate bird houses. Merging nature with the performing arts turned out to be a fun and enriching experience for both the children and their families. Children at Forestville SACC made tissue paper flowers in honor of a young girl diagnosed with cancer. As part of their community service outreach, the flowers were donated to a local hospital to bring cheer to children and their families.
